The weekend has plenty on offer for the football fan. First up we'll see a crunch clash of Merseyside rivals Everton and Liverpool. Both sides are underperforming and a victory against an old foe could reignite a flagging season! The main event of the weekend is the London derby where Arsene Wenger's young pretenders come up against the heavily experienced Chelsea Blues! Both sides have title aspirations so this clash has the makings of a Championship deciding six pointer!

Manchester United vs Fulham (14.03.2010 - 15:30)

Image

Ritchie De Laet is the latest injured player in sir Alex Fergueson's team and the list includes Ryan Giggs,Michael Owen,John O'Shea and Anderson while Owen Hargreaves,Wes Brown and Johny Evans are doubts.MIchael Carick is expected to return straight into the first team after missing the clash with Milan due to suspension.
Fulham are hoping that Danny Murphy passes the late fitness test as he has scored more goals against Manchester United in his career than all his teammates have scored in all.Clint Dempsey has recovered from injury but it is up to Roy Hodgson whether he will use him or not.John Paintsil,Andy Johnson and K.Dikgacoi are all out with injuries.
Manchester United's Expected Starting Eleven:Van der Sar, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Park, Fletcher, Nani, Valencia, Rooney
Fulham's Expected Starting Eleven:Schwarzer, Baird, Hangeland, Hughes, Shorey, Duff, Davies, Etuhu, Greening, Dempsey, Zamora

Manchester United are in good form at the moment with 4 consecutive wins including the 4:0 thrashing of Milan in midweek and their main-man Wayne Rooney is in great form with 30 goals to his name this season already.Fulham on the other side are on a run of 5 games without a defeat in the Premier League while they have lost in midweek in the Europa League to Juventus in Turin 3:1,but everybody remembers the biggest defeat of the Red Devils this season came at Craven Cottage 3:0 so i expect another hard game for United here.Fulham are not so good away from home with only 1 win and their last two away games were both 0:0 so in this game i expect a draw or a one goal United win.

Manchester United's Last 5 games
20-02-2010 Premier League Everton 3 - 1 Manchester United
23-02-2010 Premier League Manchester United 3 - 0 West Ham United

Sunderland vs Manchester City (14.03.2010 - 18:00)

Image

Steve Bruce will miss Jordan Henderson and Andy Reid as both are still sidelined with injuries, while Lee Catermole is a doubt.Lorik Cana is suspended so it means that Kieron Richardson or Bolo Zenden will start in the middle of the park.
Martin Petrov and Michael Johnson are injured and out of this game for Manchester City while Emmanuel Adebayour is suspended.Patrick Viera is back after suspension, while Kolo Toure is fit again and waiting for his recall.
Sunderland's Expected Starting Eleven:Gordon, Hutton, Turner, Mensah, Ferdinand, Campbell, Cattermole, Zenden, Malbranque, Bent, Jones
Manchester City's Expected Starting Eleven:Given, Richards, Lescott, Kompany, Bridge, Zabaleta, Barry, De Jong, Johnson, Bellamy, Tevez

Sunderland won in midweek their first game after going 14 games without a win and now they should have boosted their morale with Darren Bent scoring a hat-trick.Manchester City on the other side won at Stamford Bridge 2:4 with braces of Carlos Tevez and Craig Bellamy but their win was a surprise for everybody. The history is on Manchester City's side as they have won the last 9 meetings between them but i expect Sunderland to win here as Manchester City are not so good away from home while Sunderland are a very good home side as they haven't lost at home in that bad run and they scored 3 goals in this fixture at City of Manchester back in December.

Sunderland's Last 5 games
06-02-2010 Premier League Sunderland 1 - 1 Wigan Athletic
09-02-2010 Premier League Portsmouth 1 - 1 Sunderland
