Party Casino is part of the Partygaming brand, which is perhaps most famous for its Party Poker site. We all know how good Party Poker is, but does Party Casino reach the same high standards? There was only one way to find out, and that was by spending a couple of hours sampling all of the games they have available… and hopefully coming away with a profit… The home page of Party Casino, which can be found at www.partycasino.com, has a clean and attractive design which makes navigating your way around as straightforward as it gets. A menu on the left hand side provides access to information about the Party Casino site itself. On the right is a slideshow which allows you to preview some of the games that are available without going any further. And in the centre of the screen is a huge Download & Play Now button. It seemed a waste not to click on this, so we did, and thirty seconds later we’d downloaded the Party Casino software required to get started. Installing this took less than a minute and went without a hitch.

Download and registration. There is no Flash version of PartyCasino and a download is necessary to play here. After activating the download, I was surprised that it took less than a minute to complete and another minute to install and then I was ready to get started . I already had an account at PartyPoker, so there was no need to open another account, you simply play on your existing one between casinos, but if you don't have an existing account, you simply follow the registration process to open one. This is very easy to do and involves entering your name, address and payment information, along with your choice of nickname and password. Once you've registered, you can either deposit funds and start playing for real, or you can put the $1,000 play money to good use and experience what’s on offer before spending your own money. After a lot of research I found that New Players without existing accounts are eligible for a 20% bonus up to $100...so it is there after all! I decided to deposit and headed for the PartyCasino banking section.

Games at Party Casino. If you already have an account with Party Poker then you will use this to play at Party Casino, otherwise you will need to open an account from scratch. This is no big deal, and involves entering the usual name ,address and payment information, along with your choice of nickname and password. That done, you can either deposit some funds and start playing for real, or you can put $1,000 worth of play money to good use and experience what’s on offer before getting serious.

 

From a multimedia perspective, the presentation of the games is very good. Graphics are sharp, smooth and realistic, and the well chosen sound effects add nicely to the experience. Our only criticism is that the main Party Casino lobby is a tad too boring, consisting of nothing more than a few graphical menus and total silence. Other online casinos (for example, William Hill) do much better in this respect, with virtual maps of the casino floor and atmospheric audio, and this is the kind of thing we would have preferred. Fortunately the gaming experience itself more than makes up for this minor weakness in the lobby design.

To go back to our original question – does Party Casino reach the same high standards as Party Poker? – our considered answer has to be a definite yes. Putting our relatively minor criticism of the main lobby aside, Party Casino offers a great online playing experience which everyone should try at least once.
